The WC DART Team will be at Bark In the Park, this Saturdayhh from 11-4 ! Volunteers are needed for this fun event, it is a benefit for our friends at New Leash on Life. Come on out and join the Team, we will be showing the new trailer along side the Nashville Kennel Club. This is a fun, family, furry family oriented event…held at the James E Ward Ag Center. 

The WC DART Team is meeting Sunday, April 10 from 4-6 pm for a Pot Luck Dinner and Training Meeting at Adrienne Molteni’s ranch. The WC DART Trailer will be on site for an Emergency Animal Sheltering Exercize. For more information or to RSVP- email : wcdart@yahoo.com

Saturday, March 12 and Sunday, March 13, Wilson Co DART was invited to the Music City Cluster at the Williamson CO. AgExpo Center. The Team had the opportunity to meet the AKC participants and show off the new Disaster Response Trailer.

Thank you to the AKC groups who made the CAMET Trailer donation possible for WC DART.  Pembroke Corgi Club of America, Greater Murfreesboro KC, Tennessee Valley KC of Knoxville,Maury Co.KC,  Tullahoma KC., Clarksville KC and the Nashville Kennel Club.

Wilson Co DART is meeting at the WEMA Training Center, at 6:30 pm Thursday March 10, 2016.

The Team is getting ready to appear Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the AKC Dog Show at  Williamson Co. Expo Center with the new WC DART/AKC Reunite Trailer. The AKC will be presenting the Trailer to WEMA and WC DART!!! The WC DART Team will be onsite from 9am- 4pm to speak to the public about DART and participate in the Press Release. All WC DART members are encouraged to attend., Invite Friends and family to attend the largest AKC Dog Show in TN.!!!

WC DART will be meeting at the Education and Training Center across the street from WEMA, 110 Oak Street, Lebanon TN 37087  at 6:30pm.

February  2016 WC DART celebrates 9 years of service to Wilson and its surrounding counties in middle TN. Congratulations are in order!

WC DART meets the second Thursday of the month at the Education Center at WEMA, at 6:30 pm. These dates are subject to change pending deployments or training.

The American Kennel Club has given Wilson County and WC DART the best Christmas present ever……. a 16′ Disaster Response Trailer equipped to house 65 Companion Animals!!!!! Totally equipped for disaster response with everything the Team could possibly need…..items we don’t have…..for more efficient response! The AKC and WC DART will be coordinating a Press Release and Presentation of the DART Trailer in the near future, stay tuned for further announcements. A sincere Thank you to the AKC for this generous gift and we know it will be put to good use for the animals in TN.

The Nashville Kennel Club, Clarksville Kennel Club, Tullahoma Kennel Club, Greater Murfreesboro Kennel Club, TN Valley Kennel Club of Knoxville TN, Maury Co. Kennel Club and the Pembrooke Corgi Kennel Club of America INC..  All have made this wonderful Grant possible for WC DART. We express our APPRECIATION for this fabulous gift for Wilson County!

The WC  DART Team participated in  CERT Training- Community Emergency Response Team- this enables the volunteers to work better with the EMA and WCDART. Thank you William Glover, Lebanon’s Public Safety Officer for such an informative class! Deborah Mayson, Laurie Adams, Julie Hutchison, Karla Clark and Nina Ground attended.

The WC DART Team will be celebrating the end of the 2015 Dart Season on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Kavanagh’s Irish Pub, 1209 N. Mt. Juliet Rd. Mt Juliet TN. Family and Friends of WC DART are welcome to attend! Join the Team at 5pm for DART-Tales and 5:30pm for Dinner. In addition to the Regular menu, there are Gluten Free Choices as well as a selection of salads and fish. Please RSVP to wcdart@yahoo.com to reserve your seat at the table.

WC DART will be donating items for the Residents of Wheelwright KY. Their Christmas List:   Nursing Home Residents : Shoes, flip flops, bird seed,coloring books/crayons, books, magazines, DVDs , small tv, warm clothing, sugar free candy and gum, games, clothing siz large and bigger, underwear, etc.                           For the Sent Hope Center: Antacids, lice kits, tea tree oil, shampoo and personal hygiene items, t.p., canned goods, non perishable foods, clothing, underwear, coats, gloves, bibles, books and school supplies, etc. These are some ideas, but if you have other items you want to give, they are acceptable as well. Please make sure the items donated are new or gently used and clean.

WC DART -wear will be in and ready for pick up as well!

The WC DART Team will be meeting in the Gentry Building at 6:30pm, at the James E Ward Ag Center. This is the last WC DART Meeting in the Gentry Building for the 2015 WC DART Season. The Team will be working on:  1.  Ordering DART-Wear, T shirts, Long sleeve shirts, hoodies, etc. 2.  planning November’s Holiday Get Together and Christmas Donation for the residents of Wheelwright KY.   3.  Call Down Lists will be handed out and reviewed. As the 2015 season is winding down, WC DART does not meet in December, unless it becomes time to receive the wonderful donation from the AKC….then a Press Release Meeting will be scheduled !
