TRAINING IS NEXT THURSDAY, MAY 9!!

FIELD MEDICINE and FIRST AID!!

Location: WEMA Training Center
          110 Oak St
          Lebanon, TN
DATE/TIME: May 9 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm (longer meeting due to content)

This will be an informative and potentially lifesaving training, so I want to see you all there! To be active w/WC DART, we require a minimum of quarterly training and event attendance. AND we will be pairing off for the skills practice, so we need everyone there. Don’t miss this! God forbid, you may need it someday!

May 8 National Animal Disaster Preparedness Day- We will be fund raising
on FB, so please share with everyone!

May 9 Team Training at WEMA: Topic- Field Medicine and Stop the Bleed!!
This will be a longer meeting due to content

May 18 WC Team Fundraiser DOG WASH- One of our best fund raisers, we
need You for this!
May 25 WC Team DOG WASH Rain Date

May 19 Family Farm Expo at the Mill in Lebanon- we will have a booth,
raise money and meet the community
(they expect over 3000 attendees)

May 31-June 2 CERT Training (Community Emergency Response Training) with
our very own Windy Pinnix. GREAT TRAINING!!

Whew!! May will be a whirlwind but what a great time working at
something we love. We need an active team in our trainings, outings
and deployments! Isn’t that why we do what we do???

Spring can bring on all kinds of weather events, so stay prepared! Check out Katye’s FB page- “Doug Cherry’s Team Wolfpack Weather” for real-time weather updates as events are unfolding. There are a lot of weather apps, pages, etc. out there, so make sure you stay tuned and use a credible source.

It’s storm season so what better topic than Weather? We will have Katye Cherry Durham share her expertise on weather, so you don’t want to miss this! Tornado season brings on a whole new dynamic for disaster response, so do your dead level best to be there. We need our team members to attend as many trainings as possible throughout the year. This is hugely important for developing our disaster response knowledge and team camaraderie.

THIS SATURDAY: March 23 at Guardian Martial Arts Center (337A W Baddour Pkwy, Lebanon)

THIS TUESDAY: March 19 Volunteer Network and WEMA are hosting “Post Disaster Expectations” (110 Oak St., Lebanon) from 6-7:30pm. What a great opportunity to join experts in the field of Disaster Response! You have to register for. this on Facebook, just look for Volunteer Network!
